Owner/Writer/Director/Executive Producer
A 2019 Cannes Silver Lions award winner, James wrote and directed My Friend Oscar, starring Oscar Conlon-Morrey, Academy Award, Golden Globe and Tony nominees and winners Rosemary Harris, Kate Burton; Jimmy and Carolyn, starring TV and stage veterans Gregory Harrison and Mary Beth Peil; and The Extinction of Fireflies, starring Tony nominee, Drama Desk winner Michael Urie, two-time Olivier Award winner Tracie Bennett, and Drew Droege. James directed the award-winning immersive theatre piece As Much As I Can at the Public Theater in NYC, and Grand Prize recipient at the Rhode Island Film Festival for his teleplay, The Gods of Newport. James is the co-creator/executive producer of the upcoming Hallmark Channel series Gilded Age Newport Mysteries.. At Warner Bros, James executive produced: A Fearful Joy: The Mother Teresa Story (ABC miniseries). James has performed in major regional and Broadway national tour productions of Ragtime, Mary Poppins, Footloose, and Kinky Boots. A Broadway World award winner, James is a Columbia University graduate who lives in Los Angeles and NYC—and his beloved home in Westerly, RI.
Executive Producer
As an actor, teacher, and writer, Kimberly has performed all over the United States and Internationally while simultaneously operating a successful voice studio in NYC for almost 20 years. In addition, she created the one woman show "Stages”, that sold out at Emerging Artists Theatre. She is the executive producer of Rhode Trip Pictures “The Extinction of Fireflies” starring Michael Urie and Tracie Bennett, “Jimmy and Carolyn” starring Mary Beth Peil and Gregory Harrison, and the recently filmed, “My Friend Oscar” starring Oscar Conlon-Morrey.
She has a long standing creative relationship with James Andrew Walsh, along with “The Extinction of Fireflies” and “Jimmy and Carolyn”, Kimberly was Assistant Director of the Cannes Lion Award winning, "As Much As I Can”, for which James was the director. Together with Kara Vallow and Spencer Emanuel, they are also working on a new musical “The Last Magician” that was just chosen to participate in the International Conference “Theatre about Science” in Portugal this fall.
First AD/Art Director/Associate Producer/Designer
A recent graduate from Pratt Institute's Communication Design program, Miles is an Art Director for Film, Fashion, Publication, and Editorial work. He is also a self portrait artist, graphic designer, and Fashion Designer; with custom pieces appearing in several films as well as in print. Miles' work often focuses on drawing from the past and finding the balance between nostalgic and contemporary design. His most recent projects include David LaChapelle's artwork for Usher's 2021 Las Vegas Residency, editorial work for Gloria Magazine, and he is in the process of publishing several books.
Production Designer
Kristen Vallow is a set and production designer for photography, commercials, stage, installation, and film. Kristen studied Art History at Barnard College and Historic Preservation Architecture at University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Arts. Her work is known for its deep art historical roots, fine art approach, and attention to detail, combining research and historicism with humor, provocation, and an eye for surrealist pop imagery. Recent projects include: the 2021 Square Space Super Bowl commercial with Dolly Parton; the Moschino Fall 2021 virtual fashion show; Narcissus and Echo, an original ballet for Sergei Polunin’s Polunin Projects, which premiered at Sadler’s Wells London; and two feature films for Netflix, The Babysitter released October 2017 and Rim of the World, released Summer 2019.
Casting Director
tbd casting co. is located in Midtown Manhattan. Founded by Casting Directors Stephanie Yankwitt and Margaret Dunn, whose work in casting spans theatre, film, television, commercials, and web series, TBD is strongly committed to inclusion and diversity of ALL kinds. Film work includes work with Lexicon Films, 4th & 1 Films, and Satyr Entertainment.
Art Director/Associate Producer
Heidi W. Stevens is an interior designer and antique dealer in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Heidi is the owner of Rē Antiques, a 12,000 sq foot store filled with a curated array of antiques and higher end newer furnishings, art and jewelry. Having studied antiques since she was 8 years old, she has a vast knowledge of all genres and periods. In her earlier years she designed wallpaper and fabrics and did trompe-l’oeil painting. She has sourced props for many movie and theatre sets.
Location Sound Mixer
Spencer began composing for film in 2005, and has written music for over 40 short films and commercials, plus two features. He has been working in sound - both on set and in post production - since 2017. Born into a musical family, he fell in love with film scores at a young age and sought out to make a career in it. He holds a BM in Music Theory from the University of Connecticut, where he studied privately with Grammy Award-winning composer Dr. Kenneth Fuchs. During that time, Fuchs handed off a project to Spencer of scoring a live production of Shakespeare's Pericles for the Connecticut Repertory Theatre; thus began a three-play stint for him with the company. After college, Spencer moved to Los Angeles, where he continued to compose and discovered sound design and editing. He currently resides in New Haven, CT.
Sound Editor/Designer
Eric is a Supervising Sound Editor and Lead Re-Recording Mixer with over ten years of post production sound experience. He specializes in crafting rich, dramatic mixes for Netflix, Amazon, Disney, E3 trailers and Super Bowl commercials. He is on the MPSE Board of Directors, where his work has been nominated for five MPSE Golden Reel Awards.
He has worked on hundreds of commercials, branded content videos, network TV shows, films and video game trailers. He’s been the lead re-recording mixer on broadcast content for the NFL Network, Star Wars properties, Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate, PBS, HGTV, Mattel, Amazon, Netflix, EA and Disney.
Director of Photography
For over 30 years David Zapatka has been a freelance television cameraman working primarily for the US network news and sports programs. He got his photographic start as a 13 year-old with his first camera.
Sound Mixer
Irin Strauss is an accomplished sound mixer with more than 25 years of experience. His work spans across America ranging from documentaries, live concerts, web content, features, ADR, industrials, and narrative network television. He has worked with countless celebrities and directors.
Recent projects include Extinction of Fireflies, The Blacklist, Desus and Mero, and the Drew Barrymore show.
He currently lives in Westchester, New York with his wife and 4 cats.
Director of Photography
Joseph Lavallee is a cinematographer working in film and commercials. Recent credits include Showtime's promos for Smilf: Season 2, award-winning short film "Snowflake", "Aesop Rock: Kiln", and 2nd unit DP and A camera operator for Sony's "Professor Marston and the Wonder Women." Lavallee frequently shoots broadcast spots for Puma, Reebok, Shark/Ninja, McDonald's, and Delta. He loves being based in New England, but often travels around the world to shoot features, shorts, music videos and documentaries. Lavallee belongs to the International Cinematographers Guild, and is always seeking projects of value and meaning.
